About us
The Bui Huu Hung Foundation is a non-profit organisation established by art collectors from across Europe and the disciples of Bui Huu Hung, with the aim of honouring and advancing the Vietnamese lacquer painting craft. The Foundation focuses on collecting, exhibiting, preserving, and analysing the art and archival materials of Vietnamese lacquer. Its objectives include enhancing public knowledge through research on art history and related topics, providing facilities, and supporting artists.
The Bui Huu Hung Foundation is also committed to preserving and developing the traditional craft of lacquer painting through educational programmes for children in coastal areas of Central Vietnam. The Foundation’s projects include collaborative exhibitions and publications, event organisation, and supporting contemporary artists in their work.
Our vision
The Bui Huu Hung Foundation serves as a platform for exchanging information regarding the works of Bui Huu Hung. It supports collectors by providing information on the artist and his works, including conservation, evaluation, authentication, exchange, and trade of his pieces.
The Foundation is committed to preserving and developing the traditional lacquer craft through ongoing educational programmes for children in the coastal areas of Central Vietnam. The Foundation organises exhibitions, lectures, performances, and events supported by the Bui Huu Hung Award.
